Hello everyone, welcome to my album review
of the Debut Album by DJ Snake
The album is titled "encore"
It is the number 1 dance album currently on iTunes
and in the top 10 albums on iTunes.
But did this album make me want an encore ?
You're about to find out.
So hold on tight, because here comes the review!
I wasn't a huge fan of DJ Snake before this
album. His music was just okay for me mostly.
Now to answer the question.
Did this album make me want an encore?
Well...... Kinda
There were songs on this album I liked.
The intro was really good. Middle was
decent. Parts of Sahara were good.
Talk is good.
And a few others here and there. Overall
not exactly great, but I will say there are
Some decent songs here.
For flaws with this album, well I do have to
say there definitely is some problems here.
Firstly, while it does a nice job of combining a
lot of elements ( Dance [DUH] Pop, Hip Hop/Rap
and other stuff, it's pretty hit or miss on actually
working.
And that's not necessarily on the collaber's part
Some of the beats on this album are really
kind of annoying to be honest ( my opinion ).
And yes, I know you DJ Snake fans will be all,
"If you don't like it, don't listen to it. His music
is lit!!"
First off, this is just my opinion.
And second off I'm well aware about the type
of music all these artists I review make, and I
judge fairly based on my opinion.
Some of the album has more of a mainstream
pop appeal. The pop songs here? Not the best,
but are pretty decent. Not too bland, nice beats.
And I will say, the Justin bieber song, is much
better than Cold Water. I was very disappointed
in Major Lazer for that song.
The beats are danceable I'll give the album that,
And it's a decent album. Tried to like every song,
But honestly I don't.
I think a 7/10.
Will work for this album.
If I were rating this specifically based on
my enjoyment of the album, it would've gotten
a 5 or so. But I can say, if you're a fan of DJ
Snake, you'll like this album. For me,
this wasn't my cup of tea.
I will still recommend this for fans of DJ Snake
