Album Review #33 Ellie Goulding - Delirium

Hey guys welcome to my review of Ellie Goulding's Delirium

This was a highly anticipated album for me
Because I think she has a great voice and her music
So far has been mostly good

REVIEW TIME

When I first heard On My Mind, honestly I thought it
Was a generic, bland, repetitive song. I quickly grew into
It though so I was excited for this album

Unfortunately, this album was almost a complete letdown.
There are three big problems that permiated most of this
album.

1. The Repetition

This album is full of repetitive choruses that really distract
from the lyrical creativity and vocal quality of this album.

I don't mind an averagely repetitive chorus like with most
Pop songs today, but she just goes overboard here.

2. Music Sounding The Same

Majority of the songs on this album is Ellie singing to bland,
generic, and safe pop music. Which at times I've forgave
but it's one of those albums I feel doesn't work having
every song sound the same. Especially having as many as
22 songs on your deluxe version. It makes me feel like you
could probably cut 10 songs off of it and made the other 12
More quality.

3. Max Martin Fail

I heard from a review that Max Martin produced
this album. Which I guess is what I have to pin the blame on
here for the bland,generic,safe production

Max Martin has produced some great albums before
(The Original High, Overexposed ) so it was pretty
disappointing overall

I'd say there was about 5 good songs out of 22

Which is about 2/10 plus one for good Ellie vocals

It gets a very sad 3/10
