• I've really gotten into some of Coldplay's older music
"Yellow" is an Amazing Coldplay song. The others on
the list are fantastic as well

• The Right Song was really catchy this week

• Calvin Harris/This Is What You Came For has been
on replay for me this entire month and has not seemed
to get old. Really Catchy and beautiful song.

• Galantis - Forever Tonight didn't last
It's an Amazing song don't get me wrong, I just
Didn't listen to it that much. And that's why it dropped

Album Review Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman

This is my Review for Dangerous Woman by Pop superstar
Ariana Grande.

This album is basically a bunch of love songs and Ariana
showing her "Dangerous" side if you will.

I had high hopes for this one.
I really loved her album "Yours Truly" the blend of Pop/R&B
sounds and Ariana's Voice is amazing.

But is this one any good???

Well...


( Positives )

This album seems to show more meaning than My Everything.
I liked a majority of songs on the first listen.
There were some catchy pop songs as well as nice more R&B
sounding ballads about "love".

Ariana has some nice lyrics about how crazy she is for I'm
Guessing a certain guy she likes or whatever.
Songs like "Greedy" shows how bad she wants his love

Overall she did an above average job on the lyrics, they
Werent anything special, but they were serviceable
nonetheless.

( Negatives )

The Collabs for the most part weren't needed

I'm not a fan of Nicki Minaj, and her Collab didn't change
that
The future collab kinda sucked ( not the whole song,
Just his part )

( The rest were decent, I just felt More R&B type singers
should be there instead of More Hip Hop/Rap Artists.

If you're into Ariana Grande for her voice and lyrics
you should love this album, but if you're into her for
her music, you'll be disappointed here.
Unfortunately, there's not very much here ( in terms of
music that feels original or creative)

I found the music good, but I'd be lying if I said that
the music didn't leave me wishing it was better.

These negatives don't hinder my enjoyment of this album
that much, but they wouldn't have been hard to avoid
happening.

(Conclusion)

Overall this album is pretty Serviceable. It's pretty above
average for most of the pop music here.
For Mainstream listeners, I'd recommend this.
It's a Good album overall

I'm not sure if I would buy the whole thing, but some songs
Really appealed to me such as "Dangerous Woman"

Overall I'll give this album a 8/10 

It's pretty solid.

Was slightly disappointed in the music. But the vocals
More than made up for that.

Song Review Zara Larsson/MNEK - Never Forget You

Here's the new hit song from Zara Larsson.

I already talked about the David Guetta song with her.
Now I'm gonna talk about her own song.

It's gotten pretty big lately.

But is this new song any good???

Here's the Review


( Positives )

Well Zara does sound pretty good and it does kinda give
a kinda of meaningful vibe ( although I'm almost certain
It will go away when the song gets overplayed )
But yeah
Overall the Zara part is really catchy and nice

( Negatives )
The song goes into kind of a pop/EDM direction after
"Til the day I die" and it's completely bland and forgettable
It ruins what could've been a great song.

Like its so abrupt it sounds so forced like it needed it to be
There just for radio because the song alone wasn't "catchy"
enough

( Conclusion)

This isn't a bad song, but it's too gimmicky.
Like its trying to be all meaningful, but at the same time
The song sounds like it will be completely forgotten
about in about 6 months time.

(Sigh) it's a shame this song could've been really great,
But as it stands it's just an "okay" song

I'll give it a 6/10

A lukewarm rating for a pretty lukewarm quality song.

Song Review David Guetta/ Zara Larsson - This One's For You

This is a new song from David Guetta
Just released today

The Vocals are absolutely amazing !!! Zara killed it!!
The buildup is awesome as well the song goes so strong !!

( Negatives )

Unfortunately that great buildup and vocals are followed up
by one of the most disappointing drops I've ever heard.

It sounds very flat and deserved more bass to it.
As it stands though the drop is pretty flat and kinda
annoying.

( Conclusion )

This song would be perfect with the right drop. Sadly
David Didn't deliver this time. I'll still buy it probably but
I was looking forward to a great drop and I didn't get what I
Wanted.


I'm gonna give the song a 7/10 

Just a decent song that should be way better, but feels
kinda dumbed-down for mainstream appeal.

Album Review Meghan Trainor - Thank You

Here I am today reviewing the sophomore 

album from Pop star Meghan Trainor 

Just released today along with Cloud Nine

So is this the best album I've reviewed today ? 

Well let's find out 

( Positives ) 

There are about 5 decent songs here that show Meghan's

vocal talent

( Negatives ) 

After almost every decent song is a Crappy one.

There are many annoying songs here.

This album is VERY repetitive.

Like even more then a normal mainstream pop 

album. 

The songs are so annoying ( the bad ones ) 

And even the decent ones aren't great. 

( Conclusion ) 

There are a few decent tracks here 

But the majority of these are either bland,forgettable,

or just plain annoying

I can't give this album any higher than a 4/10 

Sorry Meghan Trainor fans, this album is pretty bland 

Album Review Kygo - Cloud Nine

Here's the album I've been waiting for since March!!
It's finally here

The debut from Tropical house artist Kygo!!!!

I was extremely excited because I love his songs
Firestone and Stole The Show !!

But did this album live up to how heavily anticipated
it was ( by me anyways? )

Well let's see

( Positives )

There wasn't one bad song!

Many great songs here
The two mentioned above, Oasis was great, and Raging,
And stay and others as well.

Great Vocalists, beautiful production on the tracks

I really like Kygo's sound on these tracks.

( negatives )

Not many problems here. If I had to say one thing it would
be that the songs sounded too similar ( I know artists have
their own styles but I feel like Kygo just used the same
Style for this whole album. ( which I loved don't get me
wrong but I was hoping for a little bit of a variation. )
We do get some great ballads towards the end, but they
Still use the same sounds.

( Conclusion )


This is overall a Great album. Many great songs for any house
lover!!! If you can get past the songs sounding the same, then
You'll enjoy this awesome album

I'm gonna give this a 9/10 

Great Album

Song Review Justin Timberlake - CAN'T STOP THE FEELING!!

Justin Timberlake is back!! 

With a new summer single. 

It's currently number 1 on iTunes 

And it's making its way into radio stations

But is this single any good??

Let's find out 

(Positives)

The production on the chorus was really well done.

Really catchy and melodic and danceable.

Sounded a little bit like Can't Feel My Face by 

The Weeknd but it didn't feel like a ripoff.

Justin sounds good as always.

This is catchy too really catchy.

(Negatives) 

There is nothing wrong with this song at all.

I might get tired of this later but for now I'm really

Loving this song!!!!

I'm giving this a 10/10

Song Review - Jason Derulo - If It Ain't Love

The new single From Jason Derulo

I'll get into his four albums later as I am a
semi-fan of him.

For now here's the review on his new single.

Here we go...

( Positives )

He sounds really good here. ( even though he
relies heavily on auto-tune )

And it's really catchy and can get stuck in your head.

It's also pretty relatable. Like it could feel good hanging
with someone, even if it isn't love.
Or maybe it means something else idk lol.

( Negatives )

The only thing wrong really here is the production when the
chorus hits. It's this big buildup to this really bubblegum,
basic, lackluster drop that has like no melody it's basically
Some drum sounds that sound good rhythmically, but are
boring without some melody or something.


Overall I think it's a Good song, but this could've been better.
The production stopped it from being anything more than
really just a catchy but kinda mediocre radio song

I'll give it a 7/10 

Because it's pretty catchy, but the production is forgettable.

Song Review Galantis - No Money

Here is a song review for a recent EDM track I've listened to.

It's called No Money by Galantis.


Before we get into that. Here's just a Little blog update

My Countdown is coming back
But it's only gonna be a top 10 for now because
It's hard to keep track of 40 songs I've listened to a lot
Over the week.

And I still take requests for albums and songs

Now onto the Galantis - No Money song review

( Positives )

I think the song has a nice message ( not that that
Matters but oh well lol )

I like the little electronic sounding vocals in this song

And the tune is catchy for the most part

( Negatives )

The drop in this song isn't as good as it should be.
It's a decent drop, but it doesn't do a good job of
Mixing EDM and Pop together. It sounds
Kinda off at times.

That's not too big of a problem but it will take a point
or two off

( Conclusion )

This isn't Galantis' best song. And that's fine. Because
It's still a good song. And it's pretty catchy. Even if
A little flawed

I'll give this song an 8/10

Album Review Hot Chelle Rae - Whatever

Bet you thought I'd never review this huh???

The reason why I'm reviewing this is because I just remembered
How crappy this album is.

Although the album is fun, it sucks so bad if you're not at a party.

The music is so generic, bland, bubblegum pop rock.

The album is so repetitive. All the songs sound the same.

Worst of all the lead singer's voice is extremely annoying.

This album is terrible

The best of it is mediocre

The worst of this is just crap.

This is so far ( in my opinion ) the worst album of 2011

It gets a 1/10

Album Review Mike Posner - At Night, Alone

I'm here to review the album

This album shows a lot of emotion by Mike and it's probably
Very special to him.

But is this a good album? Well let's see what I think.


Review starts here

( Positives )

His voice is really good throughout.
His lyrics are really powerful which is a good thing mostly.
There are some really great songs on both the regular and
remix sides of this album.
He really opens up on this album as well.

( Negatives )

One thing I do have to say is although I liked quite
A bit of songs here, not all of them were really that great.
While many were good, others follow the same formula
of him singing low to mid tempo ballads and singing
about how he's misunderstood or just wants people to
Love him for who he is. It's nice to see some real music
in this album, but some songs tend to be on the fillery
side. Songs such as Silence ( feat. Labrinth ) are very
bland.

That leads me to my next complaint,
It seems Posner tried harder to get his message out
Lyrically Then to make great music.
Quite a few songs end up being forgettable here.
While some were good and some were great, there
Were some forgettable ones.

Standout: I Took A Pill In Ibiza

( Remixes )

There are 6 Remixes here

The I Took A Pill In Ibiza one is really catchy and good.

The Not That Simple one is decent, but it sounds almost
Exactly like the Ibiza one.

Be As You Are is forgettable and bland sadly.

In The Arms Of A Stranger has good vocals, but
Sadly a forgettable drop

Silence ( Ft. Labrinth ) remix is definitely better than
the original, but still kind of forgettable.

And Buried in Detroit is another disappointing one.

( Conclusion )

There were quite a few things I liked about this album.
But quite a few I didn't.
And unfortunately when that happenes what we're left
With is just a disappointing, middle of the road,
Album.
If he just would've taken a little bit more time on the
Music this probably would've gotten a 10

But since most of the music is generic and forgettable

This album is going to get a 6/10 

This album isn't bad, it just was a slight disappointment to
me. This is just my opinion though.

Album Review Justin Bieber - Purpose

I'm here to review the Album "Purpose" by mega Pop Star
Justin Bieber. It's full of Electronic Pop songs and catchy dance
Melodies and things like that but is this album any good ??

This album is a nice mix of Catchy songs and ballads

The production is very nice on this album as far as the
structure of the beats and stuff

The vocals on this album are really good

There is some really beautiful music on this album as well

( Negatives )

The only problem I have with this album is at times the
Beats can be kinda generic. Like the music isn't that original
It's good music, but it's just not that original


( Conclusion )

All in all this is a solid album. It's not perfect, but it's a solid
Mainstream pop album that you pop lovers will enjoy.
It has songs to dance to, it has songs to relate to.

Overall it's a pretty good album

I'm gonna give Purpose an 8/10 

Song Review - Calvin Harris/Rihanna - This Is What You Came For

I'm Here To Review the song by Calvin Harris and Rihanna
The second collab by them

I personally really liked their first song We Found Love

But did I like this one???

Well You're about to find out.

Let's see did I find this song good?????

Yes of course I did .

This Song is An amazing summer EDM track.

It has a very beautiful melody. And Rihanna sounds very
Good.

The buildup is amazing. Nice vocals and catchy as heck.

The drop though could use more bass, but isn't too big of
A problem because Rihanna sings there so it adds more to
The track

Overall Amazing

I'll give it a 9.5/10
