Album Review #47 The 1975 - I like it when you sleep, for you are beautiful yet so unaware of it

Welcome to my review on the sophomore album by Alternative band
The 1975. I'm reviewing what might be the longest album title I've
Ever heard

I listened to some of their music after listening to this album.

But let's save that for another review

The album is not bad. There is some solid music here.
Some sounds like retro pop or some sort ( like 80's )
Others is like Pop-Rock at times.

The vocals aren't anything special, but the band to me is more
Known for their music.

The album overall is solid though, there are plenty of good songs.
I'm not a super huge fan of the band yet, but if I grow into their style
Enough, I think I might find myself a fan eventually


Overall the album is Good

I'd give it an 8/10

State of Music 2016 Part 2

Sigh so far this year has started very mediocre. No really terrible music, but not very much amazing
Music has came yet. But hopefully it will.

Sorry about this short post I had to get something out. When the new the 1975
Album comes out tomorrow I'll review it

State of music of 2016: February

I'm here to briefly discuss how I feel about the music that came
Out so far this year.

I can already say I'm disappointed there's not one full album
I've bought yet this year. Crap like Rihanna's ANTI is taking
over the charts and that's just computerized mediocre pop
with boring annoying vocals

stuff like Charlie Puth's Nine Track Mind is alright
But so far this year hasn't branched out any. That album
Could've been better if it hadn't been so predictable and
formulaic

Anyways mostly forgettable boring Music so far

There are some songs I've bought and some great ones
But no full album I've bought yet. That better change

Album Review #46 Galantis - Louder, Harder, Better ( Remixes )

The new remix Album/EP from EDM duo Galantis

6 Remixes and 1 extended version of
Louder, Harder, Better

Are these remixes any good?


Well you'll find out

First off I'm not gonna blame Galantis if I don't like the remixes
Because they were remixed by different people.

Here's the review

Honestly I didn't find tracks 1 & 2 good

They didn't go well with the original song
The third track is an improvement but it's a slightly generic
remix and nothing special.
Tracks 4 & 5 are okay, but honestly aren't that good.
Track 6 is good I like it nice beat.
Track 7 is good, except it isn't a remix it's just an extended
Version of the song.


Overall a slight disappointment Once again I blame the people
that remixed these more than Galantis, because the actual
song was great. But they could've chosen better people to
remix this songs


I'll give it a 5/10 
I didn't find it terrible, but honestly it's not that great.

But Galantis is still a great group and they will impress
Me with their next album I just know it

Album Review #45 OneRepublic - Waking Up

The reason I'm reviewing this is because I heard the song
All the right moves at a restauraunt today and remembered that
Song so I thought I'd look at who it was by

I found out it was OneRepublic so I checked it out
And it was on their Sophomore album Waking Up


Let's see if the album is good


Well after reviewing two crappy albums and a Sub-Par
one, it's time I review something good.

This album is overall pretty good. There are some really
Great songs here ( All The Right Moves being one )
And Also Secrets and Good Life ( the other singles )
They aren't half bad either.

And also I do genuinely like a lot of the rest of the cd.
It's got some energy, decent tunes and overall
Very enjoyable CD

I liked this Cd throughout mostly

I think it's pretty solid and I'll be reviewing their other
two albums to see if one can top this.

Until then I'm giving this a 9/10

Album Review #44 Steve Angello - Wild Youth

Swedish House Mafia's own presents us his album three years after
quitting the group

Let's see if it was worth the wait.

I didn't quite know who this guy was, but I'm
A huge fan of the EDM genre so I had high hopes for this
Guy.
Let's see if this album lived up to my hopes


Review time


The first song off this album I heard was Rebel Nation.
This song was pretty good. I thought the beat was imteresting
And the Rebel Nation part was pretty good.

The Whole Album? Well... It's not bad. But umm okay, well
Let's see here.

Steve does a good job picking soulful vocalists to sing.
Pretty good vocalists on here including Mako
That's cool.

The beats/drops? Well honestly ( with the exception of
Rebel Nation ) they sound really forgettable.
They sound really empty. They're not downright bad or
really even that generic, but they seem really empty and
hollow.

Listening to a bunch of empty beats through an entire album
Gets boring fast.

Like I said the beats aren't that bad. Some are pretty good
But they all kind of sound the same.

The album was a let down. Not a big one and it's certainly
far from a bad record, but this is probably gonna be another
one of those EDM albums that gets lost in the pile of all
the others within a month of its release. It released 3 weeks
ago and it's already not getting anymore iTunes Ratings.

Is it just me or are people losing interest in EDM? Not as many
radio pop hits are EDM like they used to be in 2012-2014

Pretty sad

Not bad, just kinda forgettable


I'll give it a 6/10

100th Post!!!!!!!!!

Okay I'm gonna spoil it right here

There isn't gonna be anything that special here, instead I'm writing
a post to explain why posts have been slowed up, and why I
Haven't done some of my series' on here lately.


1. The posts have been slower lately because I had a pretty Busy
Winter and the spare time I had I just got too lazy because
I kinda had some bad experiences lately ( yeah )

It's all good tho anyways.

2. Why no siriusxm posts ??

Because I gotten sick of reviewing all the same songs like
20 times. I'll be starting that back up soon.

3. Why no top 40?

Well i seem to keep having the same songs on there
And It's hard for me to find truly great music instead of
This mediocre/terrible trash that fills the top charts nowdays
( not all songs are like this, but some are

I didn't have anything special here, but wait because I'm about
To hit 5,000 PAGEVIEWS and then we'll celebrate

Album Review #43 Future - EVOL

Future put out a new album recently I'm here to review this

Not a huge fan of the rap genre, but still know and like enough
about it to give it a fair review

I'm not gonna give it any more credit than what it deserves
But I'm saying i don't just judge the rap genre as trash like
some do.


Now on to the review.

Yeah I may sound like a hypocrite
for saying this after my big speech up there, but this album is
Trash.

The songs all sound the same. Future sounds Monotonous
Bored AF and mumbles a lot when he raps.

I like the beats on a couple of songs like Maybach
But they all sound the same which heavily brings down this
Album

I wouldn't have called myself a future fan before this album,
But after listening to this trash album, I'm definitely not.

You may like this if you're a future fan, but I just didn't

All sounds the same. Same Generic rap lyrics and beats.
Heard it all before

I can't give this album anything higher than a 3/10

Album Review #42 Rihanna - ANTI

The new album from Rihanna

Honestly I'm not a fan of her material
But that doesn't mean I definitely didn't find this album good.
It means I'm not a fan of past material.

Anyways I'm here to review ANTI

Is this album good or is it Trash like the majority of her other material
( once again this is my opinion )


Review time


When I first heard Work feat. Drake. I thought it was a lazy
Song. Rihanna sounds bored and lazy throughout the Parts
Where she sings Work Work Work Work Work. The beat
is mediocre and lackluster and the whole song is trash.

The rest of the album isn't much better. A couple of alright
songs but nothing good. Rihanna's voice has always
Been annoying to me. I didn't expect this album to be
great and yeah it wasn't

Not much to say here, just another big artist releasing
crappy, easy to make music with very minimal effort
Or emotion

Nothing new here, Just trash

I'll give this a 2/10

Album Review #41 Charlie Puth - Nine Track Mind

The debut album from the guy who helped bring you
See You Again and brought you Marvin Gaye from last
Year just dropped an album last week.

Yep you guessed it, Charlie Puth

Let's review

Charlie Puth's album is full of pop hits with soulful vocals

The songs are mostly Mid/Low tempo, but are still kinda
Catchy at times.

There are some songs on this album I did enjoy. One Call
Away is pretty good. I actually liked Marvin Gaye for
Awhile, I'm sick of it now but I did like the song at one point.

Others I enjoyed as well such as Dangerously, and We Don't
Talk Anymore ( ft. Selena Gomez ) I thought was alright.

Overall the album is decent. There's nothing too wrong with
It

Only problem is the songs weren't that good. Like they were
Decent and all, but the good stuff in this album isn't that good.
Nothing here is bad. But nothing is really that great.

Can't say I was disappointed, but It did leave me wanting
a bit more.


I'll give Nine Track Mind a 7/10 

And P.S. WHY IS IT CALLED NINE TRACK MIND
WHEN THERE ARE TWELVE TRACKS.

My thoughts on the Super Bowl Halftime Apperances

This year's halftime show is probably gonna be, Mediocre at best.
Firstly we have Coldplay, which should be good. They make
Pretty good music. But we have Bruno Mars, who have I not mentioned
Is extremely mediocre and overrated. Also Beyoncé is supposed to
Be in it I heard. Not a fan really

So the only thing I'm excited about is Coldplay. Other than that the halftime show is probably
Gonna suck. I wish they wouldn't get the same old people every year.
We just had Bruno like a few years ago. They always get the most
Mediocre, overrated artists. Rarely do they get anyone good ( I'm surprised
Coldplay made it ) but overall it's a popularity contest.

Which is why I don't really get excited for the Super Bowl halftime show
But hopefully it's good we'll see
