Genre Reviews #1 EDM

In this post I will be discussing the genre of EDM and reviewing it and you'll find out if I'm a fan of the genre.
Well most of you who've followed the blog
Know I'm a huge EDM fan. EDM is an amazing
genre that I feel doesn't have enough fans.

But if you're new to EDM I'd recommend some
Superstar DJ's to listen to

Review:

EDM overall has been great I love the melodies
And emotive lyrics

EDM has always had catchy beats and creative lyrics overall

The best things about EDM are the catchy melodies
in the songs. Just the electronic sounding bliss throughout
Most EDM I listen to.

EDM overall is great.

That being said I worry because EDM is starting to sound
All the same and I worry it will some day lose relavance

I've dealt with a few disappointing EDM releases such as
Afrojack - Forget The World or Tiesto - A Town Called
Paradise

But there are quite a few fantastic albums to check out
By Calvin Harris, Alesso, Galantis, Tiesto, Martin Garrix
Madeon, Dillon Francis, Zedd, Knife Party, Afrojack ( if
You're a fan ) and others

Album Review #40 Andy Grammer - Andy Grammer

This album I actually forgot about

The first time I heard about Andy Grammer was from Honey I'm Good
I did hear Keep Your Head Up and Fine By Me on the radio but
I didn't know who sang them at the time.

Anyways this is Andy Grammer's Debut Album

Is it any good???

Let's see

This album is a Great album

The music feels fresh and feels like a dedicated singer
With a passion for music

The lyrics are pretty good throughout as well
Pretty meaningful and not shallow.

Good vocals as well

Not much to say but overall this album shows a lot
Of talent,

It's pretty solid album and I recommend it

Andy Grammer gets a 9/10

Album Review #39 Rachel Platten - Wildfire

Welcome Back to my blog

I'm terribly sorry about Keeping you guys waiting this long

Anyways hope you all are having a wonderful 2016

I'm here to review the album by Rachel Platten

Let's Go ( here's the review )

She obviously rose to fame because of her uplifting lyrics and
Just positive music and stuff with songs like "Fight Song"

That's fine and dandy

But unfortunately the album falls flat.

Because the music on the album is designed for places
like stores and malls that play pop music from the radio.

The lyrics are pretty uplifting and at best some of the music
Is..... Lukewarm.

But the music is disposably bland and generic and cheesy
And cliche. And I just hate that people cannot take more time
to layer and gloss up their music instead of creating basic, bland
music.

Can't say I was disappointed because I know the type of music
This artist makes is uplifting pop for people who care about
lyrics and personalities.

Unfortunately for me, I crave a much more rewarding
listening experience, this just doesn't cut it.

Lyrics are cheesy and the music is cliche boring and generic.

I would've called it good if I hadn't heard it a hundred million
Times before

Overall disposable

I'm giving Wildfire a 3/10
