Album Review #30 Adam Lambert - The Original High

Adam Lambert's third album dropped a few months ago
Called The Original High

I'm here to review it and see if it's Adam's "Original High"
Or not

Anyways hope you find this review helpful

REVIEW TIME

THIS ALBUM........well umm is good, but disappointing

Okay so let me start by saying there are definitely
Songs on here that are really good

The Original High is Good
Ghost Town is Amazing
Evil In The Night is Great
Underground is Good
Rumors is Good too

Ghost Town is probably the best track on the album
Because it's just perfectly made great music
Great Vocals and even great lyrics and great music

Unfortunately there are tracks on the album that cannot
Live up to ghost town

I felt that "Another Lonely Night" could've been better as one
Of Adam's Rock songs instead of a Pop one. The beat sounds like
A less interesting version of Ghost Town and it is pretty generic
And I also didn't care for Adam's vocals here.

If you're reviewing the Deluxe edition I'd say the first half of the album
Is the best and the Bonus tracks are on the better side as well

But Another Lonely night and a good portion of the second half
Are kind of forgettable throwaways

They're by no means bad, but if you listened to ghost town
And really loved it, then you will be disappointed

If all the songs were the same quality as Ghost Town
This album would easily be one of the best albums in my
Collection. But unfortunately it's kind of ruined by the quite a
Few forgettable tracks in this album

However this is nowhere near a bad album it's actually
Decent/good ( especially because it has ghost town )
But could be been way better

Once again if it were like Ghost Town it would be a 10/10
But as-is this album gets a very disappointing 7/10

CHANGED REVIEW

THIS ALBUM IS NOW REALLY GOOD

I LOVE THIS ALBUM NOW

IM GIVING IT A 10/10

New Entrants

Selena Gomez's Same Old Love is a good song
It's not the best or her best but it's good nonetheless

Andy Grammer's Good To Be Alive is just Average to me
It seems like a ripoff of Honey I'm Good and just a
Forgettable song

Blurbs

Ghost Town is still AMAZING

as much as I love Locked Away I gave the purple to Ghost
Town because I listened to it more and love it the same

Elle King - Ex's and Oh's is really mediocre and a little
Annoying but it's okay for now but probably expect it to be
Red soon

Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean? All the sudden became
Stale to me all the sudden

Only a 1 spot jump for Different Colors? OH HELL NAH

There's a decent amount of Good Songs

And quite a few Mediocre songs

And of course some bad ones

And ones that SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE
( Talking Body, Thinking Out Loud, Want To Want Me)

Etc.

New entrants

We'll go lowest to highest

At first I wasn't really into Overexposed, but Fortune Teller
Was one of the songs that got me into it. It's a great song
Adam sings great here and it's catchy

Tear in my heart is a great song it's really unique catchy and
Different

I've been listening to a lot of It Won't Be Soon Before Long
Lately and Figure It Out is on this list mainly because of the
Guitar solo mid-way through this song it's great!

If you read my imagine dragons review last night
You'll understand why it's on here. Tiptoe is a great song
And one of my favorites off Night Visions

If you don't already know I love R. City and Locked Away
Is one of the best radio hits in a while

If I Never See Your Face Again is probably my second favorite
Track from It Won't Be Soon Before Long (Next To The Number
One Song) Jts a really great song

Imagine Dragons - On Top Of The World is a song
That can put you In a good mood it's really good

Blurbs

Adam Lambert - Ghost Town and Especially Not Falling
Apart are some damn good songs if you ignore the rest of
This list please listen to these

Lot of big jumps this week by a lot of great songs

Cool is probably Alesso's best song but it dropped a little
Because I didn't listen to it much over the week

Album Review #29 Imagine Dragons - Night Visions

I'm a little late on this one, as this album was among the
Most popular and often regarded as the best in 2012 Is the
Debut album from popular alternative band, Imagine Dragons
I'm here to review it. NOTE: I will also Review Smoke & Mirrors
But here is the review for Night Visions

REVIEW TIME

Back in 2013 when I first heard "Radioactive" i never
Decided to check out this group. Until now I went back
Because I liked a few of their other songs.

I'm very glad I did because this album is Great

It's a very unique album mixing Rock with pop sounds and
It sounds amazing

Like it sounds different than most generic 2012 pop on the radio

It sounds like they really tried to knock it out of the park and they
Did there are some songs that are really fantastic ( On Top Of The
World, Tiptoe, America, Radioactive, Demons ) more

There's not really any flaws with this album it's just great overall
Good vocals solid mixing and its very happy uplifting music

It's probably in my top 5 in 2012

Night Visions gets a 10/10

Album Review #28 Demi Lovato - Confident

The New album by Demi Lovato is out ( requested by Leah
Baker)

I'm here to review it
Apparently it's kind of like a more mature album With explicit lyrics
And more mature pop sound

But is that a good thing? You'll have to find out

Review Time

This album is relatively decent

( Review will be somewhat compared to Selena Gomez's
New album )

The album overall is better than Selena Gomez's album, which
I felt was a throwaway

There's some good songs here

The best part about this album is I really like how Demi has that
Loud powerful voice throughout this album that really shows she
Is giving It her all and it also sounds better compared to Selena
Where she just sings quietly and it sounds more monotonous.

But there is a few things I don't like about this album though.
Firstly, I don't really like how in some instances this album
Sounds really similar to everyone else like the Same generic pop
Stuff with a few shining moments here and there.

Also she tries to use some elements of EDM in her music and as much as I love
EDM, it's really generic here and it's better when she sings.
Luckily she sings for most of the album.

Overall Decent album but it could've been a little better 7/10

Since I think all the songs on here are good I'll just talk about
Their place and why I picked them

R. City released a fantastic album the other day
And I put my two favorite on this list ( for now )

Hardwell was on the YouTube 15 with Jenna Marbles
( for those who know ) with the song Follow Me with Jason
Derulo that song is good but I put Birds Fly because I listened
To it more this week and it's a beautiful song Mr. Probz Has a
Great voice

Our new number 1 is a Debut from a person I discovered
Earlier this week
Dillon Francis
The song when we were young is the best song from
"Money Sucks, Friends Rule"
It's Amazing

Blurbs

- A lot of big drops, expect that as a get tired of
Most of the songs I listen to a lot

- also some big jumps expect that a lot too

- Maroon 5 - Not Falling Apart is at number
2 it's one of my favorites on It Won't Be Soon
Before Long but they're all good so expect some
More songs from that album to be on here soon

- Although only two of R. City's Songs made it the rest
Are still good

- Also don't expect a number 1 song to hold for more than a week
I almost guarantee that won't happen often

- As a whole Tiesto's A Town Called Paradise is Average
And inconsistent, but A Town Called Paradise and Red Lights
Are some great songs.

- Alesso's Cool has one of the most catchiest drops in an EDM song
It will take me a while to get sick of that one

- Maroon 5 have a lot of songs on here and I don't want
To feel like I'm filling it up with them so if I don't listen to one of their
Songs I'll drop it

That's it for the blurbs New top 40 list out next weekend
Bye :)

Walk The Moon's Different Colors is a song
I've been waiting for to be on this countdown
And here it is it's great!

Hozier - Someone New is not better than Take Me To
Church, but it's still good not much to say about it though
Solid track

Panic! At The Disco - Victorious is a good song
It's really unique too!!!!

Blurbs
R. City is at number 5!!!! That song and Ghost town are
About tied for purple but I gave it to R. City because I think
They have the better new album

I'm actually not happy that stitches is number one instead of
Shut up and dance I wanted a new record

Some of these songs I'm sure no one votes for anymore

Look at those streaks of red blue and green
Like there's a lot of streaks of the same color on the
Countdown this week

A few songs on the countdown went from Green to Blue
I don't like doing that but I have to.

Photograph is old it shouldn't be in the top 5

That's it for the blurbs join me next time in hit bound and the top
40 list

Album Review #27 Selena Gomez - Revival

This album is Selena Gomez' new album

It just released today so I thought I'd reviews

And just so you know next Friday when Demi Lovato's
Confident comes out I'll review that

But nuff said lets get on with the review

REVIEW TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This album honestly is nothing special

There are a few decent/good tracks and a few Mediocre/bad
Tracks as well as most of the album being in the middle

Selena has a very mediocre voice as well, (I know they
Autotune her ) but she comes off as sounding boring
In this album

Another thing is yes I get she's maturing but a lot of her
"New mature songs" are really bland and still annoying

Now this album I don't think is bad ( a few good songs)
It's just really Meh it could have been better

Highlights Kill Em With Kindness Survivors
Good For You Same Old Love

Lowlights Most of the rest of the album

Selena Gomez is just a really mediocre an honestly overrated
Artist

Overall the album is average and lacking in any new or
Creative way it's basically a throwaway

I'll give it a 5/10

If you haven't checked out my review for the new R. City
album you should

Album Review #26 R. City - What Dreams Are Made Of

Welcome back to another album review

The new album by R. City Came out today

It features the top 10 hit Locked Away featuring Adam
Levine.

Plus some other Pop/R&B/Rap tunes

I've been waiting for this album since August and
did it disappoint , well you'll have to find out

REVIEW TIME !!!!!

Before I review the album I'll tell you the story of R. City

Okay since Maroon 5 is like my favorite band
I searched Adam Levine because I knew he sang Lost Stars
Solo so I was wondering if he had anymore songs solo
I found "Locked Away" and I loved it
It was a really good tune that I thought would be a hit with
Adam Levine's Name on it

And now it is

I love that song

But do I like the rest of this album ?

I hate to be predictable but, yes

This album is great

There are some amazing songs on the album

It's kind of a mix of pop and rap

It works great

The best song on the album in my opinion is Again
It's an amazing song that will make you feel emotional
And it's just really great

There's also other great tracks like locked away
Checking for you, and like almost every track is great

The title for the album is very fitting too
You can feel the emotional depth in this album

Im glad most of this album is pop not rap because I
Think they're better as a pop group than rap

No major flaws Except slave to the dollar is a little too
Rapish for me it's a good song but probably the weakest on the
Album but I'm not too mad at that

Overall Great 9.5/10

My Thoughts On Mainstream Music / Radio

Welcome to a post I've wanted to do for a while
My thoughts on the word that is evil to some but good to
Others

Mainstream

Now what do I think of this ?

( Note. This will be a lengthy post so stay with me)

When I find an album on iTunes I like to read the reviews
And I like to read the album reviews. Nowdays, people
In the reviews have mentioned on numerous ocasions
About an artist going mainstream

Before I state my opinion on this I will tell you guys who
Don't know what it means.

When an artist goes mainstream they want to get more
Popular often times making their new music very radio-friendly
And changing themselves and their music to become a
More popular artist

Now why is this bad?

When an artist goes mainstream often times ( especially in EDM )
The music they make goes downhill because they are so focused on
Getting a radio hit that they use radio cliches and other things
To get a radio hit .

What really disappoints me about that is music is no longer
Popularized based on how good it is its just based on how big
The artist is in the mainstream.

I mean it seems like most mainstream music just could be better
It's hard to find flawless music with very few artists avoiding
The mainstream

Now it's good to see artists grow and gain popularity as long
As the quality of their music doesn't decline ( mostly EDM dj's
I'm talking about here )

On the radio often you'll often find electronic pop music
Because that's what's selling these days
Often times the vocals are good but the beats are pretty bland
( Not always, but sometimes ) And it really makes you wonder
If the artists get any creative control, ( which they probably don't )

Now I don't think all negative on mainstream there are still some
Positives

There are times I like an artists mainstream music more than
Their original.

Some radio hits are really good.

It's cool to see your favorite artists grow

And some other positives

But overall mainstream has a lot of positives and a lot of negatives

That's my thoughts on mainstream

Top 40 out soon stay tuned

Bye

Weeks at number 1 and I'm pretty sure hits 1 is not gonna
Let this song go without at least one more week At number 1

• Reciving Very few Airplay, Twenty One Pilots - Tear
In My Heart jumped 2 spots #wtf?

• Wow Want To Want Me is dropping with the annoying
Talking Body too that's good

• A Lot of Blue this week That's not bad but at the same
Time not good

• Rachel Platten - Fight Song has gotten really bad
Over the past couple of weeks. I Mute the
Radio when this song comes on

• Check my blog pretty soon for my new top 40 series
